The purpose of our Meditation Seminar

We will be taking a weekend in the beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland to deepen our meditation practice under the skillful guidance of His Holiness Gangri Karma Rinpoche. This will be also a unique opportunity to unplug your daily lives from distractions and dedicate to some special time to deepen your practice. We hope that when you leave the seminar, you and your practice, will have deepened and been recharged.

It is commonly known that the modern working environment carries a huge load of stress and pressure to life. Taking this into consideration, His Holiness has tailored a weekend programme that brings you into the world of meditation, systematically, but with remarkable impact to your everyday life. During the course, you will gain insight into how one should be approaching working life in 2024. You will also be benefitted from His Holiness’ practical advice on how to remain calm and relaxed that improve quality to your work and daily life

During the retreat, you will understand the reasons so many of the world's top CEOs and business people are turning towards mindfulness and meditation. Instead of using the latest app or book off the shelf, you will have the opportunity to learn directly from His Holiness Gangri Karma Rinpoche. His Holiness is a Tibetan Buddhist master in the highest monk order and the lineage holder of Martsang Kagyu Tibetan Buddhism.

Join us to experience the art of Meditation in the company of an accomplished Master. This unique opportunity will deepen your understanding and practice of Meditation in an immersive and supportive environment with His Holiness Gangri Karma Rinpoche.

The Joyful Weekend Seminar is oriented, but not limited, to non-Buddhist practitioners. His Holiness will guide you through a step-by-step meditation practice, creating a solid foundation to continue regularly at home. You will also benefit from His Holiness’ practical advice and application of mindfulness in the real world.

As a bonus, there will be a short session of Qi Gong after lunch each day to help with Meditation with Chris Ray Chappell realtaoism.com

Our Guide

His Holiness the twelfth Gangri Karma Rinpoche is an exceptional Buddhist scholar and Dharma practitioner and the present lineage holder of the Martsang Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, having received the teachings in a direct unbroken line from the founder, Choje Marpa Sherab Yishi (1135-1203). His Holiness has extensively studied the four major traditions of Tibetan Buddhism and has established schools in Tibet, Taiwan and the UK, where he now resides. Rinpoche is recognised as the reincarnation of the eleventh Gangri Karma Rinpoche (1910-1960), by H.H. Fourteenth Dalai Lama and His Holiness Sakya Trizin.

His Holiness will answer questions and direct you in your meditation practice, which is a precious opportunity for your life.

This is the first time His Holiness has conducted such a Seminar in Scotland to explore how Meditation can bring peace, joy and happiness.
