Brief Introduction

Following nearly four years of sustained academic study and the successful completion of the Martsang Lam Rim programme including rigorous written examinations and structured debate the subsequent phase of this progressive path entails the deepening of contemplative and experiential practice under the guidance of His Holiness Gangri Karma Rinpoche.

The Mahamudra Preliminary teachings within the Martsang Kagyu tradition present a comprehensive and systematically structured framework for foundational practice. This framework is organised into four progressive levels of instruction—Outer Instruction, Inner Instruction, Secret Instruction, and Ultimate (Suchness) Instruction—applied across each principal domain of practice.
