The Twelve Links of Dependent Origination
The twelve links of dependent origination explain the many ways in which the course of our lives; past, present and future is interconnected and wholly dependent on causes and conditions resulting from the choices we make and the actions we take. These often misguided choices are influenced by our limited understanding of the true nature of suffering, happiness and our clinging to ideas of permanence all of which create discontent and pain in our lives.
This short but profound course introduces a new way of interpreting how our lives unfold, as His Holiness will describe both the concept as a whole and illustrate by means of analogy within the Martsang Kagyu tradition the 12 links in detail.
Further personal reflection on these principles will bring new meaning and possibility to our lives and encourages us to engage on the path to end the cyclic existence of suffering.
